About Us
 
The association was created in 1995 by a group of Moroccans who used to get together every Sunday to play Soccer and have lunch. Thereafter, original members have developed the idea of creating an association or a club. At first, the name was the Moroccan American Club. Later on in 2000 the name was changed to “The Moroccan American Association of California (MAACA)”, a non-profit association serving all Moroccans and friends of Morocco in the great State of California and was officially established as a 501(c)(3) organization.

The Moroccan American Association of California (MAACA) is a charitable, non-profitable, non-political and non-religious organization committed to play a vital role in solidifying the relationship between its members by providing the necessary charitable, educational, cultural, and social help and support regardless of race and gender, and to unite and build bridges between the U.S. and Morocco.
Our Goals
 
  • To insure cultural, educational, and social integrity for the American Moroccan community

  • To strengthen the relationship between the American Moroccan families and their friends by creating a productive networking space.

  • To preserve the identity of the future generation by helping Moroccan teenagers overcome social challenges.

  • To create a community center that we can call home.

  • To spread awareness and promote the understanding of the diversity and beauty of Moroccan culture.

  • To conduct charitable and fundraising events to serve and assist underprivileged communities, orphanage, shelters, and the disabled around the world.

  • To create an enjoyable environment for our children.
